A Little About Me & the Heart Behind Sproutkin Farm

Hi, I'm Jennifer! I'm a mom, a dreamer, and the person behind Sproutkin Farm Play Co.

In the early months of Spring 2026, Sproutkin Farm started with a simple idea: to create a cozy, welcoming place where little ones could explore, imagine, and play, and where parents and caregivers could find a little community along the way. I wanted to create a space I wish I had in my early days of motherhood, and what I continue to seek.

As a mom to my little boy, Theo, I know how special those early childhood years are. The little discoveries, the big imaginations, the friendships, the messy moments, and the memories made in between. I wanted to create a space that celebrates all of it.

By June of 2026 I had found the perfect store front spot. Together with my Husband Niles, we began work on Sproutkin Farm and turning what was once a computer store, and before that Charlemont Tv, into the cozy and fun children's play space I was imagining.

But the road to bringing Sproutkin Farm to life has been anything but simple.

What began as an exciting new adventure became a journey filled with unexpected challenges, changes in plans, and some of the hardest moments of my life.

In July 2026, I unexpectedly lost my husband, Niles, Theo's dad. In an instant, life as we knew it changed forever.

There were days when opening a business felt impossible. Days when just getting through the day was enough. And plenty of moments when I wondered what the future was even supposed to look like.

But somewhere in the middle of all the heartbreak, this little dream was still there.

Not because everything was okay. Not because I had it all figured out. But because I still believed in what I was creating and so didn’t my community. I received messages from so many in my community, hoping I would be able to still bring this special space to town. Offerings of support and aid helped light my heart again.

I believe children deserve places where they can simply be little. Where imaginations can run wild, curiosity is encouraged, and play doesn't have to be loud or overwhelming to be magical.

I believe parents and caregivers deserve those places, too. Somewhere to feel welcome, connect with others, and maybe find a little bit of the village we all need.

Sproutkin Farm has already had its fair share of twists and turns, and I'm sure there will be more along the way. Every piece of it has been built with love, determination, and a whole lot of heart.

My hope is that when you walk through our doors, you feel that.

Thank you for being part of this little dream. I'm so happy you're here.

With love,

Jennifer
